Use Your Talents as a Lifeline for Elephants

Turn your hobby into a lifeline for elephants.  Do you like to blog, write songs, create graphics, videos or give presentations?  Maybe you like to make crafts or sew…. Whatever it is, use your talent to help save elephants!  Here are some ideas:

  1. Join a local animal activist group.  If one hasn’t been established create it using the this guide.
  2. Regularly search for and attend local animal rights protests!  Boots on the group is essential!
  3. Create a social media profile or page dedicated to raising awareness.
  4. Create a free blog dedicated to elephants using WordPress or Google Sites .
  5. Tell your friends and family about the plights faced by elephants.
  6. Make elephant inspired crafts and sell them on Etsy.  Give a percentage of the proceeds to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation or other reputable non-profit.
  7. Use your videography skills to make an educational You-Tube or Vimeo video.
  8. Regularly browse and sign petitions on Care2.com.
  9. Write letters and meet with city council and lawmakers.
  10. Create petitions demanding a bull hook ban in your state, for example, or to ban the sale of ivory.
  11. Never EVER give up!
